For those curious, this is another one of Chen Dong's novel. In terms of Perfect World the writing/publishing order

1 Zhe Tian/Shrouding the Heaven
2 Wanmei Shijie/Perfect World
3 Sheng Xu/Sacred Ruins

Chronologically
1 Perfect World
2 Shrouding the Heavens
3 Sacred Ruins

So in other words, Shrouding the Heavens is the sequel to Perfect World

best out of the three novels

Yah, from what I have heard it is the best out of three, hopefully this donghua series do well

hmm is the bad animation the only version of sacred ruins? i have seen some of it..the story is ok i guess but im sure a better animation would do it justice

3:18 Yo, can you imagine what it would be like to be in modern day earth, in space, doing maintenance on a satellite, and then watch as what appears to be a giant coffin pulled by Chinese dragons flies straight at you...?I bet the first thing the astronauts did was check their oxygen tanks because they would have thought they were tripping balls on oxygen deprivation.
17:06 I don't know much about aqua dynamics, but even if the boat could be suspended in the air like that by a water tornado(on the outside, not the inside), I doubt upping the power on the motor output will make it break away, let alone into a flying leap crossing tens of meters. As well as not splattering themselves into the front wind shield after coming to an instant full stop. There would have to be some crazy scifi reverse inertia bs to pull off something like that. I know, I know. We just saw a dragon-pulled coffin crash into a space station, so magic and stuff. Still...
18:30 I don't think were in Beijing anymore, Toto.
19:23 Hah! You thought you were "unreachable"!? Allow me to introduce... DRAGON COFFIN METEOR!
19:35 Does he have binocular contact lenses? They seem to be normal people, and all they show is a burning ball from their perspective, yet he identifies them as "many eastern dragons"? That's like being able to identify a black spot on the road as a specific car driving at 200KPH from 5 kilometers away.
22:21 Son Goku?

It’s crazy how far chinese donghua compared to japanese anime…and now they raising the level again….MAJESTIC! AMAZING! They typically modelling their character using a real human…felt so realistic!
